Wiki History
MadWorld is a rated M game developed by Platnium Games and published by Capcom exclusively for the Wii. It was released on March 10th 2009.
Story
Fictional city USA has been taken over by a group of terrorists. And is now holding a “sport” called Death Watch, and people watch it on the internet and of course bet on it). Which can basically be called “DEATH TO ALL THAT MOVES!”. You play as Jack, a man with a chain saw attached to his arm. Do I need to go on!? I could go on more about the story…..but who cares. The story of this game is not a selling point. And thus not worth mentioning further.

Graphics
MadWorld is presented in a Black and white style of manga. Oh and red(And blue in some cases), lots of red.(I’ll give you 3 guess as to what is red, and the first 2 don’t count) It goes for an art style over HD, not that there is such thing as HD on the wii……I can’t say I hate or like the graphics here. Maybe because I’m an advocate of COLORS in games(I’m looking at you most FPS games). So while I like art style in games, I have to take points off for lack of colors(a grand total of 4 colors). Not that I’m keeping score or grading it or anything……… Still, even if I kept score, the points it got for for art style over high polygon count, would far out way the few points I’d take off.
Game Play
The game has 5 “Worlds”. City, Asian Town(Japan…..), Castle(Horror), Lab/Military facility(Sci-fi), and Casino(Casino Zone from sonic……?). Each world has 3 levels. 2 normal levels with a boss at the end, and the third just being a boss fight.
Each level(for the most part) is an opened area full of death traps, lots of death traps(some of which are only unlocked after a certain # of points)! Your goal on each level is to earn enough point to get to the boss fight. You get points for killing people. The more pain you inflict, the more points.(So just spamming the chainsaw is not recommended, even if it is fun) Each level has 1 boss, and a blood bath challenge or 2(basically a timed mini game of death, this is an awesome way to earn points. I only need to say that 1 of the games is called “Man Darts”, yes they are awesome) Each boss is a a flashy fight, not as much as in No More Heroes(a game that I will one day cover), but flashy none the less. But most bosses will be beat by, dodging there attacks, chain saw when you can. And use quick time events to deal massive damage. And each boss dies in an interesting way.

Announcers
What an odd category you say? Well, your face. The announcers are hilarious and definitely the best part of the game, even if they get repetitive at times.
Difficulty
It starts off really easy and get’s mildly annoying at time at the end. The game isn’t that hard at all, with the exception of 1 boss(a certain giant Frankenstein monster in the castle world), won’t put up much of a fight on the first play though. On a second play though the game gets hard and puts up quite a fight.(How hard? Don’t know. Didn’t do a whole play though on hard(never got around to finishing it on hard))
Replayability
Other than a harder difficulty and going back to for the fun of it, there is none
Wrap Up
MadWorld is an interesting game, and definitely worth a look at if you’re old enough to get rate M games and own a wii. It take blood and killing like a child torturing bugs(fun), so I doubt it will traumatize even the faintest of hearts. But don’t pay more then 15-20 for it. As it’s not worth full retail price($50 for wii games), as it just doesn’t provide enough for that. It’s still a fun thrill and worth some time, like your mom (*shoot by yahtzee*), if a bit repetitive.
Random Gnome: Very repetitive.
Me: Will you get out of here! People will question my sanity with you here!
Random Gnome: You’re the one typing this!
Me: Well, you’re MOM!
*Random Gnomes slaps me*
Random Gnome: My mother was a saint!
Now to go get a chain saw attached it to my arm. And remember, It's Dangerous To Go Alone!
